Relationship / Pre Marriage Education

Is the program compulsory?

This is a conversation best had with your marriage celebrant however…we find that the vast majority of couples enjoy the program and find benefit in it and so we are able to recommend the program on this basis.

Is this the same as marriage counselling?

No, ‘To Us’ is an education program run for groups by a facilitator.  A set program is offered for you to choose and try skills which you think might improve your relationship.

Will I feel uncomfortable?

Most of the program involves you talking with your partner.    Contributions to group discussions are encouraged and voluntary.  It is part of the facilitator’s task to help make the program a positive experience for everyone.  The program tends to be friendly and fun.
